The Build Up (1988 vs. Miami)
On October 15, 1988, fourth-ranked Notre Dame hosted #1 Miami on a beautiful October afternoon in South Bend. The Hurricanes came into the matchup with a 36-game regular season winning-streak, including four straight victories over the Fighting Irish. Needless to say, it was a tough ticket for the sellout crowd.
