Dave Casper: Hall of Famer

One of the most versatile athletes to ever wear the gold helmet, Dave Casper (‘74) played four positions during his time at Notre Dame. As a tight end, he earned consensus All-American honors and helped the Irish win the 1973 national championship. Casper was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002, and this December, will be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame, becoming the fifth former Fighting Irish player to receive the honor at both the collegiate and professional levels.
